John has over thirty years of wide-ranging experience in international Landscape Architecture, including major public projects, leisure and commercial developments throughout Europe and the Middle East. Project types include hotels, resorts, waterfronts, docklands developments, urban design studies, airport projects and Environmental Assessment.
Recent and ongoing projects include the 2012 London Olympic Stadium and the redevelopment of the Battersea Power Station where planning was approved in early November with the proposed for the public realm strategy being praised by CABE.
Simon Edgar
BA (Hons) M Phil LD FLI
Simon has considerable experience throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia across the widest range of projects, working from landscape masterplan through to the delivery of award-winning schemes.
In recent years he has become particularly associated with HED's international portfolio including resorts and airports with the latter taking HED into India in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Simon leads HED's relationships with the likes of Accor, Anantara, Hyatt, InterContinental, Marriott, Hilton, Ritz-Carlton, Starwood and various national operators and is currently working on hotels in the CIS, Africa, The Indian Ocean, The Mediterranean and the Middle East where he works increasingly not only as landscape architect but as resort planner.
David Price
BSc (Hons) MA LA CMLI
David has over eighteen years of experience as a Landscape Architect following work in the landscape industry.
At HED, David has been the project landscape architect on a wide range of projects including three years with BAA overseeing one of the UK's largest landscape projects at Heathrow's Terminal 5 and Task Team Leader for the Colne Valley works and Grassland Translocation.
David's formal education has meant that he has been able to develop the wider ecological aspects of land- scape design and implementation.
Ian Newton
BA (Hons) Dip LA CMLI
Ian joined in 1998 and has extensive experience in Europe and the Middle East on a variety of schemes covering a broad range in landscape design, planning and environmental projects.
Ian has been involved in many large scale mixed use developments including commercial, leisure, retail and residential throughout the UK and overseas working from concept through to the delivery of award winning schemes.
He leads HED's work in the education sector.
