This is a fantastic green scheme for Sovereign Centros, that will open up the New River, create jobs, homes and leisure at this new town centre within the Borough of Broxbourne. The scheme will create a completely new town-centre offering retail, leisure, hospitality and dining, hotel, offices, civic hub, transport hub, senior living accommodation, residential apartments, and over 10km of footpaths and cyclepaths. This is a regeneration project designed to reinvigorate employment and economic opportunities in the region. The project incorporates sustainability within its core objectives with aims of BREEAM excellent buildings and net gains in biodiversity, which includes the planting of over 11,000 new trees.

It is paired with the adjacent Brookfield Garden Village which will include 1,250 new homes, a primary school, local centre, blue light facility and allotments, as well as existing Brookfield relocations, also voted for approval by the Council. Together they will form a major new settlement and urban extension. Hyland Edgar Driver have been working closely with Lyons Sleeman+Hoare+Archtiects who have coordinated the masterplan, with a wider team including Carter Jonas, Hoare Lee, Mayor Brown and Waterman Group.
