Simon has been a Director of Hyland Edgar Driver since its inception in 1992 prior to which he worked for the largest landscape design practice in the UK. He has had the privilege to work throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia across the widest range of projects, working from concept design and landscape masterplan through to the delivery of award-winning schemes.

He is most associated with urban and waterfront development, office developments, airports and resorts together with rooftop landscapes from London to Istanbul, education, and sport and event.

Microsoft Thames Valley Park, Terminal 5 Heathrow Airport, The Arts University Bournemouth, Racecourses for The Jockey Club, two of the 2022 World Cup Stadia in Qatar and numerous luxury hotels from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean are all typical of that experience in the UK.

He has become particularly associated with HED's international portfolio including not only resorts and airports but also extending HED’s wider mixed use experience with projects such as Valencia Congress Centre Spain, Skolkovo Park Moscow and airports in Germany, Ireland and India.

Simon leads HED's relationships with hotel operators in the Caribbean, CIS, Africa, The Mediterranean and the Middle East where he works not only as landscape architect but also as resort planner. Ritz Carlton Mauritius, Marriott La Sella Spain, Hyatt Regency Minsk Belarus and Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Oman are amongst those hotels and resorts built or under construction.

He operates out of London and Winchester and is active in the UK, Ireland, Russia, Africa and The Middle East but prepared to go anywhere!
