Carly joined Hyland Edgar Driver in October 2004 and has been a key member of the teams for a series of high profile UK and foreign projects. Projects include Terminal 3 plaza forecourt and JC Decaux’s airport advertising range for BAA at Heathrow Airport, as well as Frankfurt Airport Forecourt and New Doha International Airport landscapes.

Key urban projects have included 5 Broadgate in London for British Land, the public realm for currently the largest new office development in the midlands at Snowhill in Birmingham for Hines and Ballymore and numerous office, retail and mixed use plots with English Cities Fund in Salford, including One New Bailey.

Carly has experience dealing with complex planning contexts, developing presentation material for public consultation, 106 agreements as well as Green Infrastructure Strategies and Design Codes to secure quality throughout phased delivery. This portfolio includes large scale planning applications such as the successful outline application for over 5000 new homes in Bedfordshire, where she was responsible for preparing Green Infrastructure Strategies and working closely with the Local Authority and stakeholders to ensure sound principles for the development’s future.

Carly is passionate about Landscape Architecture and how great design can create fantastic places that work with the environment and for people. Always keen to learn from and understand other professions, Carly takes pride in developing excellent working relationships and being a part of multidisciplinary teams.
